The best time to visit Marari is during the winters (November – February) as the temperature ranges between 22 and 30 degrees Celsius. If you want to avoid the rush, you can visit any time from March to May or September to October. For those visiting the beach for water sports, it is recommended not to plan your trip during the monsoon, which is from May-August.
Marari, the beautiful coastal town, is renowned for its sandy white beaches. Upon setting your foot on the sands, you would surely be hypnotized by its tranquil ambiance. After you have calmed down your senses, you can explore the fishing beaches of the village as well. The canals arising from this beach town go all the way to the Arabian Sea.
Although it is a suburban town in Cochin, Aroor actually lies in the Alappuzha district. This region is known for its possession of various spiritual shrines and also a few historical and cultural attractions. You can offer your prayers at the Aroor Puthuvaranad Temple, which houses the idol of Goddess Kali. Apart from this, you can also pay a visit to some of the ancient churches present in this region.

Marari is only accessible from major cities like Kochi and Alleppey. It would take just 30 minutes for you to reach Marari from Alleppey (16 Km) and 2 hours from Cochin (74 Km).
The closest railway station is not located within the town, so you will have to travel to Alleppey to access the railway station there.
The closest airport is the Cochin International Airport, which is around 76 Km from Marari.
